Anglers by the dozens braved chilly temps, a stiff wind and spitting rain to line the shore near the confluence of the Missouri and Yellowstone rivers for a chance at snagging a paddlefish.
The paddlefish population in Lake Sakakawea and upstream in the Missouri and Yellowstone rivers is the only stock in North Dakota that supports a snag fishery.
