Outdoors report: Area fishing, skiing and snowmobile conditions
Lake of the woodsThe mud flats north of Pine Island are kicking out walleyes and saugers in 30 to 34 feet. The afternoon hours have been best with shiner minnows and any jig that glows. Look in the 20-foot range during the early morning and evening hours. At the Northwest Angle, walleyes, saugers and some jumbo perch are being found around the islands in 20 to 30 feet of water throughout the day.
