Field reports: Fond du Lac band stocks sturgeon fingerlings
The Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa stocked 294 fingerling lake sturgeon in the St. Louis River on Monday as part of a continuing effort to re-establish the species where it once occurred naturally. The band also stocked nearly 200 sturgeon fingerlings in the Cloquet River just upstream from its confluence with the St. Louis River on Aug. 5.
