  • Scott Krogstad, Thompson, N.D., shot this 5x5 buck Nov. 8 near Hatton, N.D., with a Browning .25-06. Krogstad said he hasn’t had the buck scored yet, but a reliable source estimated the rack should measure about 150. The antlers were very uniform, Krogstad said, with an 18-inch inside spread and “knobs” at the base. “I wish I had weighed the animal after we field dressed it,” Krogstad said. “Still can’t believe it, will remember this one for awhile!”
  • Logan Kennedy, 16, Thief River Falls, shot this nine-point buck with a .243 on Nov. 7, the opening day of Minnesota’s firearms deer season, while hunting near Dorothy, Minn. The antlers on the buck had a 22-inch spread.
  • Chris Ramsey of Detroit Lakes, MN took this buck opening day of the gun season in Clay Co. MN. The deer had a green score of 158 38.
  • Mike Erickson of Nelson, MN bagged this 10 point buck bow hunting Friday morning before rifle season opener. The spread was 17 1/8 inside.

  • John Langenwalter shot this big buck with a main frame 5X5, with three stickers on its right side making it a 8X5, with his bow on Nov.6 opening day of gun season in SE ND. Had a 34" around neck and weighed 193 field dressed.
  • Brad Tozier from Savage, MN shot this 202 lb. 18 point buck just North of Duluth on 11/20/09 at 4:25. He shot it at 90 yards the buck disappeared. He never touched any of his steps on the way down from his stand. His heart was pounding as he walked towards the monster. Little did he know the Buck dropped right where he shot it.  The bucks body was hidden by the long grass except for the massive antlers towering the tall grass. The spread was 24 inches making it a true Buck of a lifetime!
  • After a short nap in my tree stand Sunday morning(Nov 8th,7:15am) I awoke to a movement out of my right eye. I had strapped myself to the tree so quickly untied and stood to see several deer coming towards me. In the lead was this buck followed by 5-6 does and another buck. I thought I was dreaming but did take aim and with 1 shot from my Rem. 6mm at 100 yards nailed the lead buck. He ran maybe 50 feet in the tall CRP and was down.He field dressed at 213 has been unofficially green scored at 185-4/8. David Brandt was hunting near Rollang, MN.
