Lake Nebagamon Lions host 51st Fisharama

The Lake Nebagamon Lions Club Fisharama will be held Sunday, January 31 from noon-4 p.m. on Lake Nebagamon. It promises to be, as always, the social event of the winter season for the whole family.

The Lake Nebagamon Lions Club Fisharama will be held Sunday, January 31 from noon-4 p.m. on Lake Nebagamon. It promises to be, as always, the social event of the winter season for the whole family.

During the Fisharama, there are 12 grand prize drawings. A Frabil two-man ice fishing shelter with ice fishing equipment donated in part by Solon Springs Mercantile. Three $500 savings bonds donated by Chippewa Valley Bank. Three $200 savings bonds donated by National Bank of Commerce. Five $100 savings bonds donated by Security State Bank. Plus over 200 other drawing prizes. At the completion of the Fisharama, the Lions have made arrangements for one special person a change to win a 2010 Toyota Tacoma 4-by-4 provided by Kari Toyota of Superior. All the tickets will be placed in the drum and one Fisharama participant’s ticket will be drawn.

That lucky person will them select one envelope from a board with 75 envelopes posted. One envelope contains the winning number for the truck. If that person fails to select the envelope with that number, a consolation prize of $1000 will be presented to the person from the Lions Club. That person does not need to be present to win.

Cash prizes will be awarded for the adult and youth largest game fish and largest pan fish. Lions will drill holds for those who need them. Bait will be available on the lake.

Horse drawn sleigh rides will be available on the lake.

Tickets will be on sale for $2 each or 3 for $5 at several local merchants, Lions Club members and at the event. Food and refreshments will be available on the lake and in the auditorium.

The entire Fisharama, including the drawing, will be broadcast on WNXR 107.3 FM Radio. All proceeds from the Fisharama supports Lions Club projects.
