Kayak/canoe club to host race Saturday

FRAZEE, Minn. – The Otter Tail River Kayak/Canoe Club will sponsor a race Saturday north of Frazee.

Registration is from 8 to 9:30 a.m. in Riverside Park in Frazee.

The race will begin at 10 a.m. seven miles upriver at Wannigan Road Bridge and will finish at the park. A shuttle service is available.

At least one legal flotation device is required for each paddler. Minnesota law also requires current kayak and canoe registrations.

The cost to register is $20 per canoe, or $10 per person for those paddling solo.

Cash prizes of $100, $50 and $20 will be given to the top three overall fastest finish times in each category.
