The second annual Cedar Lake Ice Fishing Challenge will be held this Saturday on Cedar Lake.
There was one fish caught in the first year of the tournament, but tournament organizers have made changes in an effort to see more fish caught this year. The location for the tournament on the lake has been changed. This year the tournament will be held in the bay, on the southwest corner of the lake. This is considered one of the best areas on the lake for catching fish.
The Ice Challenge is sponsored by the New Richmond Coaches Association. It serves as a fund-raiser for New Richmond athletics.
The Cedar Lake Ice Fishing Challenge will make Saturday a busy day on Cedar Lake. The activities begin with pre-registration from 8 a.m.-11 a.m. The tournament will be held from 11 a.m. through 2 p.m.
