The Eau Galle-Rush River Sportsman's Club held their 35th Annual Trout Fishing Contest on Saturday.

Thirty-five years is a long time. We want to commend our sponsors, some who have been with us the whole time. We want to recognize the Hines Auction Service for being there all these years. And to the Ellsworth Rod and Gun Club for the use of their building and their support. We are always happy to say our two clubs have worked well together all this time.

We were pleased to see more kids register fish than normal. I think the number of fish in the river is there, but just not the size. A big congratulations to all the winners, Appreciation goes to all who bought tickets, had breakfast and chicken with us, and supported us in any way, to those who worked in any way possible.
