The third annual “All-Star Walleye School” is scheduled for Aug. 8-11 on Lake of the Woods and Rainy River near Baudette, Minn.

Sponsored by Liddle Marketing Co., the event will include renowned anglers such as Brian “Bro” Brosdahl, Kevin McQuoid, Mark Courts, Dan Stier, Eric Olson and Bill Shimota. Sportsman’s Lodge will provide lodging and classroom accommodations.

Anglers who attend the school will learn techniques and fishing methods from the walleye pros, who will be running Ranger boats powered by Evinrude outboards.

“Lake of the Woods will be a super destination in August,” Chip Leer of Walker, Minn., co-host of the school. “Such a renowned walleye factory, and having Rainy River accessible really adds to the equation. We will be able to teach and show river techniques as well as lake applications.”

The school offers classroom time, one-on-one conversation with the pros and two-on-one time during four on-the-water fishing sessions.

“The diversity we see in the students is amazing: Novice, mid-level guys with basic skills, even guys with tournament experience,” said George Liddle, manufacturer’s representative with Ranger Boats and sponsor of the school. “They just wanted to learn from the best professional anglers so they invested in attending.”

Space is limited, and packages, which start at $700 per person, include lodging.
