Man drowns in ATV accident in Forest County

CRANDON - A man killed after his off-road utility vehicle went through the ice in Forest County has been identified as Daniel Arnoldussen of Kaukauna.

The four-wheel unit fell into Lily Lake near Crandon on Sunday afternoon. Authorities said the man kicked out a window as the vehicle was sinking – and he pushed his daughter Megan to safety. She then pulled Daniel from the water and tried to resuscitate him until rescuers arrived.

Arnoldussen was later taken to a hospital in Antigo, where he died. Authorities were not immediately sure how old he was.
