Here’s a look at the season dates and limits for Minnesota’s grouse, rabbit and squirrel seasons, which get underway Saturday. Woodcock opens Sept. 25.
Ruffed and spruce grouse: Saturday-Jan. 2; daily limit five combined, possession limit 10 combined; shooting hours one-half hour before sunrise to sunset.
Sharp-tailed grouse: Saturday-Nov. 30; daily limit three, possession limit six; shooting hours one-half hour before sunrise to sunset (in open zone).
Hungarian partridge: Saturday-Jan. 2; daily limit five, possession limit 10; shooting hours one-half hour before sunrise to sunset.
Cottontail rabbit, jackrabbit and snowshoe hare: Saturday-Feb. 28; daily limit 10 combined, possession limit 20 combined; shooting hours one-half hour before sunrise to sunset.
Gray and fox squirrel: Saturday-Feb. 28; daily limit seven combined, possession limit 14 combined; shooting hours one-half hour before sunrise to sunset.
Woodcock: Sept. 25-Nov. 8; three daily, six in possession; shooting hours one-half hour before sunrise to sunset.
