Do it: Fish without a license
Minnesotans 16 or older can try ice fishing without purchasing an angling license if they take a child younger than 16 fishing during Take-A-Kid Ice Fishing Weekend next Saturday through Monday (Feb. 13-15). A Take-A-Kid Ice Fishing clinic will be offered at Bear Head Lake State Park near Ely during that weekend. Register by calling the park at (218) 365-7229.
