Thoughts and ideas on what should be considered in updated management plans for duck and pheasant are welcome through Friday, May 31.
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resource’s wildlife section is preparing to updated these plans and wants input from the outdoors community and others who are interested in pheasants, ducks and habitat.
These plans form the basis of DNR’s approach to managing Minnesota’s ducks and pheasants by guiding and informing the best ways for DNR to spend existing funds on habitat; providing a framework for requesting new funds for habitat projects; and coordinating and developing partnerships.
Each plan focuses on habitat, populations and outdoor recreation as they relate to ducks or pheasants.
Draft outlines that list draft goals and draft objectives of each plan are available on the DNR website. Review the outlines and follow the link to submit your comments.
DNR wildlife will consider your input as it refines its approach and implements the next steps to update these management plans.
