$100,000 Bounty For New World-Record Largemouth Bass

Hale Lures / Stanley Jigs is offering $100,000 to the first angler who catches a new IGFA all-tackle world-record largemouth bass from public water on any Stanley Jig or Hale Lure bait in 2019. Registration begins on December 29, 2018 at www.fishstanley.com, and there is no cost to enter.

According to the manufacturer, Stanley Jigs lures have accounted for multiple state-record bass through the years, including the world-famous Ethel, a 17.86 pound monster caught by Mark Stevenson on a Stanley Jig and a Hale Craw combo on Lake Fork, Texas in 1986. They’re not just for giants, though. The baits also have been responsible for hundreds of tournament victories across the country and around the world, and have played a major part in at least two Bassmaster Classic victories.

The Official Rules:

a. In order to be eligible for a prize, the All-Tackle World Record fish must be caught in the manner prescribed by the International Game Fish Association (IGFA) international angling rules. A world record that fails to likewise establish a record in the jurisdiction in which the tournament occurs shall be ineligible for prize payment under this contract. Any variance in this condition must be with the express written consent of SCA prior to the start of the Promotion.

b. Specified Species of Fish: Largemouth Bass (as recognized by the IGFA).

c. All tournament waters must have been open to the public for fishing for at least one (1) year immediately prior to the Promotion. There must be an existing certified All-Tackle World Record recognized by the IGFA for the specified species (as defined in the Sponsor’s Official Promotion Rules and Item 2 herein).

d. Eligible Location: Eligible waters within the Continental USA in which the general public has free and unlimited access.

e. Must be familiar with IGFA catch rules especially with the Alabama Rig.

f. Requisite qualifications for Prize Award:
i. Fish must be eligible for and establish a new Official All-Tackle World Record weight for the specified species.
ii. Fish must be caught by an official entrant (who must be an eligible participant) in the Promotional event during the Promotion dates and times.
iii. In order to be eligible, the All-Tackle World Record fish must ultimately be certified as the Official All-Tackle World Record for the specified species by the IGFA and caught on a primary lure manufactured by Hale Lure, LLC dba Stanley Jigs.
iv. All certification requirements will be the exclusive responsibility of the claimant, and must be completed within a reasonable period of time, but not to exceed sixty (60) days of the conclusion of the Tournament unless extended in writing by SCA.
v. If there is a claim, Exhibits B (Winner’s Affidavit) and C (Witnesses’ Affidavit) must be completed in their entirety and returned to SCA within three days of the end of the Tournament.
vi. Any winner, regardless of issue, must submit to and pass, in a conclusive manner, a polygraph examination administered by a licensed polygraphist provided by the contract sponsor as a condition precedent to claims consideration.

g. Eligible Contestants: You must be of legal age “age of majority” by the state you live in. Some states have different ages of majority. Only those participants officially entered in the fishing promotion30. who comply with the terms and conditions of this Contract and Sponsor’s Official Promotion Rules shall be eligible to compete for a prize. In the event of a claim, sponsor may be required to provide SCA with an official list of registered entrants in the Promotional event. All Eligible Contestants must pre-register with Sponsor’s website a minimum of 24 hours prior to catching any Eligible fish. Initial notification of pending loss is required by the angler within ten (10) days of the catch,

h. After receipt of completed and signed claim documentation, SCA or an SCA-designated independent judging organization may conduct an investigation including, but not limited to, requiring the Sponsor to provide access to the: Winner; Witness; or Contest Officials to submit to and pass in a conclusive manner polygraph examinations as a condition precedent to claim consideration if, in SCA’s sole opinion, such action is warranted. If required, all polygraph exams must be submitted to SCA within sixty (60) days of the conclusion of the Tournament or the claim is void.

i. After receipt of completed and signed claim documentation, SCA or an SCA-designated independent judging organization may conduct an investigation including, but not limited to, requiring the Sponsor to provide access to the: Winner; Witness; or Contest Officials to submit to and pass in a conclusive manner polygraph examinations as a condition precedent to claim consideration if, in SCA’s sole opinion, such action is warranted. j. This award is for the first angler that catches a new largemouth world record recognized by IGFA and follows the rules stated above. There is only one prize of $100,000.00 for the 2019 season.
