This week on Northland Outdoors we take a look at the fastest growing high school sport in Minnesota – and maybe the country — the Minnesota High School Clay Target League. Over 10,300 student athletes participated this year and nearly 7,000 of them traveled to the Alexandria Shooting Park in June for the Championship and, in turn, created the world’s largest shooting event. We followed the Pillager High School team as their captains Kaitlyn Luksik and Joey Albertson competed against the other top shooters in the state. Find out how they did this week.
Then our cameras traveled to Clear Lake, Wisconsin for the North American Hunting Retriever Association’s annual Invitational. The best dogs from around the country competed at the top level in upland hunt tests. Watch these four-legged athletes compete and strengthen the bond between hunter and hunting dog.
