Commercial fishing license applications are being accepted in several areas of Minnesota to remove and sell rough fish species, mainly carp and buffalo fish from lakes and streams.
Licenses from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources are available for portions of Chippewa, Yellow Medicine and Renville counties, and for all of Aitkin and Mille Lacs counties.
Interested people should have experience with the use of seines and hoop nets, and transporting large quantities of fish. Licensed commercial operators are responsible for the marketing and lawful disposal of fish from these activities.
